A bruising campaign? A good process and we'll survive as we have in the past

To all my Republican friends worried about a bruising primary right now...are you all too young or not read history to recall Ford/Reagan, or Bush Sr. / Reagan, or Bush Sr. / Robertson?


Baker said then-Vice President George Bush was reluctant to take control of the White House while Reagan was in surgery because of it was early in Reagan's first term and Bush was still conscious of the hard-fought primary election he had lost to Reagan in 1980.
