A friend of mine that is stationed at Camp Phoenix, a few miles from Kabul just told me this: It is cold - snows a lot, the air quality is real bad. There is like a smog in the air. I am surrounded by mountains and some days I cant see them because of the smog. They burn everything here. There is a black film of dirt that gets on everything - its crazy.
